The Money in the Bank (MITB), first presented by WWE in 2005, became a foundation event in pro wrestling. The match includes various contenders fighting to retrieve a briefcase hanging on the ring, containing an agreement for a guaranteed title match for the following year. However, not all have been successful; six superstars failed in their cash-in attempts, and two — Mr. Kennedy and Otis lost their briefcases to other superstars without ever cashing in.
