Why did Adam Pearce add insane stipulation for Dominik Mysterio at WWE Bad Blood? Know the inspiration

Adam Pearce made things interesting regarding Dominik Mysterio and his presence in the title match between Rhea Ripley and Women's World Champion Liv Morgan at Bad Blood. As Mami announced in the opening segment of Monday Night RAW, Dominik Mysterio will be locked inside a Shark Cage, preventing him from interfering in the match.

As Ripley and Morgan are preparing for a war for the Women's World Championship, the General Manager of RAW added an unexpected stipulation, with the inspiration for it apparently coming from Dominik Mysterio himself.

As Dirty Dom recently revealed, the custody battle between his father Rey Mysterio, and the late Eddie Guerrero at SummerSlam in August 2005 had an original plan. The plan was for Dirty Dom to be locked inside a cage above the ring or to just hang in there.

"Did you hear what they originally wanted to do with me? They wanted to hang me from a cage. Not even from a cage, they wanted to just actually hang me. Like on a waist thing and just like have me dangle there," Dominik Mysterio told Logan Paul during a recent episode of the Impaulsive Podcast. [from 46:05 - 46:23].

Even though the creative team later gave up on that plan and replaced it with a briefcase, it appears that 19 years later, the idea will be revisited, as Dominik Mysterio will be locked inside a Shark Cage.

The question now remains whether his presence will distract Rhea Ripley and whether the rest of The Judgment Day will get involved to help Liv Morgan retain.

Dominik Mysterio continues to get heavily booed in WWE

Ever since he turned on his father Rey Mysterio almost a couple of years ago, Dominik Mysterio has done a great job as a heel. As a matter of fact, he has emerged as one of the top heels in WWE.

Dirty Dom even became the first superstar in WWE history to have a heel turn while already being a heel, when he betrayed Rhea Ripley at SummerSlam and sided with Liv Morgan. Fans have continuously booed him out of arenas where he has been present, rendering him unable to cut promos. Since his alliance with Morgan, Mysterio has emerged as one of the most deceptive heels in WWE in several years.

With him locked inside the Shark Cage, though, the reigning Women's World Champion will be vulnerable against Mami, who has her sights set on re-claiming the championship.

Given how successful this storyline has become, fans expect the feud between Rhea Ripley, Liv Morgan, and Dominik Mysterio to carry on for weeks, or even months.
