CM Punk kicked off the latest episode of WWE RAW. He addressed the fans following his brutal victory over Drew McIntyre inside Hell in a Cell at the recently concluded Bad Blood Premium Live Event.

Still showing the effects of the intense match, Punk admitted that he was right about having no more Hell in a Cell battles left in him and said he was more banged up than ever before. He also mentioned being uncertain about what the future holds for him. All signs point to the Second City Saint taking some time off from in-ring action.

CM Punk needs some time to recover

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

At 45, CM Punk is no spring chicken. The incredibly violent Hell in a Cell match at Bad Blood must have undoubtedly taken a toll on both him and Drew McIntyre.

Punk's comments about being badly banged up might be more than just words, as he likely needs time to recover, especially considering this was only his third match since returning from a tricep injury.

CM Punk might not be working at WWE Crown Jewel

A few years ago, CM Punk made some controversial remarks about WWE's deal with Saudi Arabia, which could play a role in his absence from the upcoming Crown Jewel Premium Live Event next month.

Given his outspoken reputation, it's highly possible that he has asked the company not to feature him at the event. This could be one of the reasons for his break, with Punk likely to return after Crown Jewel.

CM Punk could be out of action while Seth Rollins deals with Bronson Reed

Now that CM Punk's longstanding rivalry with Drew McIntyre has concluded, it will be interesting to see what’s next for the Best in the World. There are clear signs that WWE is planning to have a major program between Punk and Seth Rollins on the Road to WrestleMania 41.

However, Rollins is currently involved in a feud with Bronson Reed. There is a huge possibility that this culminates in a match between the two at Crown Jewel. This gives Punk an opportunity to take a break, recover, and then return to resume his feud with The Visionary when the timing is right.
