Why should Dean Ambrose main event WWE WrestleMania 32?

If only....

With Dean Ambrose putting on a great show despite coming up short against Triple H for the World Heavyweight Championship this Saturday at Roadblock and Roman Reigns being absent the past few weeks due to a nose injury, has WWE used that time to explore their options for the main event at Wrestlemania 32?

Presumably during the last few weeks, Vince has been testing out the Lunatic Fringe, Dean Ambrose, in order to determine whether or not Ambrose is worthy enough to main event WrestleMania 32.

Arguably, Dean Ambrose is the best candidate, if Roman Reigns is determined to be unable to compete. So here’s why WWE should consider Dean Ambrose to main event WrestleMania 32.

As it stands, Dean Ambrose is favoured by the WWE Universe. Every time Dean Ambrose appears on TV whether it be in the ring or during a backstage segment, the crowd eats it up.

Unlike his brother-in-arms Roman Reigns, he has not been forced down the WWE Universe’s throat, coasting along tackling whatever is thrown at him at any given moment. Dean Ambrose has the unpredictability factor about him, and that is his USP.

Every week he puts himself in a crazy situation, for example, the Raw after Fastlane, Dean Ambrose got thrown into a car windshield, carried off to the hospital and yet still returned later that evening when he was clearly in no state to walk.

He brings the asylum

The WWE Universe loves this about Dean Ambrose as he brings an entertaining element to Monday Nights, reminiscent of the Hardcore division. Realistically, which would WWE rather have, Roman Reigns lifting the World Heavyweight Championship to thunderous boos or Dean Ambrose holding the World Heavyweight Championship and making WrestleMania an earth-shattering success?

Considering Ambrose's connection and likeability, removing Roman Reigns from the main event picture could work in WWE's favour, creating an exciting headliner for WrestleMania 32.

Due to the amount of top WWE Superstars out with serious injuries as of late, WWE have struggled due to losing a lot of their main event Superstars. Due to this ratings have dropped significantly on Monday Night Raw.

With Superstars such as John Cena, Seth Rollins, Randy Orton and Cesaro missing from televised events, WWE should, at least, attempt to have more Superstars who can main event RAW and pay per views.

Dean Ambrose is more than capable but Vince is still adamant about Roman Reigns being the next face of WWE. It would be a wise precaution in case of the possibility of a high number of talent injuries again, to push more Superstars into the main event scene, starting off with Dean Ambrose at Wrestlemania 32.

This feud has massive potential

Not only would it surprise the WWE Universe that someone other than Roman Reigns is getting a push but could potentially lead to a great storyline coming out of Mania.

If WWE decided to give Dean Ambrose the title at WrestleMania, Roman Reigns could turn and attack his comrade, Dean Ambrose. A Roman Reigns heel turn would result in the WWE Universe finally getting behind him and ridding him of the mixed reactions.

Also, it could lead to a potentially great feud that could lead us into SummerSlam. Dean Ambrose versus Roman Reigns for the World Heavyweight Championship for the main event at Summerslam. Or could it become a triple threat match, with Seth Rollins’ return reported to materialize around then.

To conclude, even though Dean Ambrose main-eventing Wrestlemania would be an interesting development in the last few weeks leading into WrestleMania, it is unlikely. Vince has been pushing Roman Reigns for such a long time, it's nearly certain that WWE will go ahead with the original plan. However, it would be nice for Dean Ambrose to be more prominent in the main event scene in the future.
