Paul Heyman made his highly anticipated return during last week's episode of WWE SmackDown, helping the OG Bloodline. In a shocking twist, he revealed the fifth member of the team for Survivor Series: WarGames, none other than CM Punk.
One intriguing moment caught fans' attention at the end of the show. As the OG Bloodline and CM Punk stood together, Heyman was seen winking at Jimmy Uso. This led to speculation among fans that Jimmy may have been aware of Heyman’s return beforehand.
However, Heyman recently addressed this during an interview, dismissing the notion. He clarified that the wink held no significance and that he hadn’t seen Jimmy in a long time before his WWE return.
Despite Heyman’s explanation, fans remain skeptical. Many are questioning the true nature of his surprise return, pointing out his choice of attire as a possible hint. Heyman wore a red T-shirt under his suit, which is very similar to Solo Sikoa’s usual look. This has led to speculation that it could be a subtle foreshadowing of events to come.
Paul Heyman could leave Roman Reigns for CM Punk, according to WWE Hall of Famer
Roman Reigns was caught off guard by Paul Heyman's unexpected return to SmackDown last week. He was even more surprised when The Wiseman introduced CM Punk as the fifth member of the OG Bloodline's team for WWE Survivor Series.
WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray believes that Heyman may be planning to leave the OTC to align himself with Punk. During a recent episode of the Busted Open Radio podcast, Ray suggested that Heyman and Punk seemed more in sync than Heyman and Reigns.
He speculated that Heyman might feel Roman Reigns is no longer the guy, pointing to Roman's inability to maintain control over his family. Ray further noted that Punk was the original Paul Heyman Guy, making a potential shift in loyalty all the more plausible.
"It seems very much right now that Paul Heyman and CM Punk are more on the same page than Paul Heyman and Roman Reigns. It seems as if Paul has once again done his flip-flop. Roman lost, Roman's no longer the champion. Maybe in Paul's eyes, 'Roman just ain't got it anymore, can't even control his own family, I'm going back to the guy [Punk] that I was with from day one. I'm going back to OG. You might be the OG Bloodline, but this is OG Paul Heyman guy,'" Ray said.
It will be fascinating to see how this intriguing Bloodline saga develops in the coming weeks.
