Why Rhyno and Brian Kendrick returned at NXT

Rhyno makes NXT appearance for upcoming Network episode.

For those excited about the returns of Rhyno and Brian Kendrick at NXT, hoping that you’ll see them on the main roster, you may be disappointed. Neither man has signed a contract and simply worked the recent TV tapings for a one off payment.

It’s believed that WWE may start doing this more often, bringing in names from the past who they do not see much value in for the main roster, and having them work with the NXT talent.

This strategy has three key benefits. It gives the rookie wrestlers experience working with veterans. But it also helps get them over, by being booked on par with wrestlers the audience are already familiar with. Furthermore it gives a new incentive for fans to sign up to the WWE network because they’ll never know who’s going to appear next.
