Why was Roman Reigns dancing at his father, Sika's funeral? Exploring the traditional significance

Roman Reigns' father, Sika Anoa'i, passed away on June 25th, 2024. He was one-half of the legendary tag team, The Wild Samoans, and played a huge role in furthering the Samoan family's legacy in the industry.

Recently, a video surfaced on the internet which showed The Tribal Chief dancing along with Rikishi and other family members at Sika Anoa'i's memorial service. Furthermore, surrounding family members were showering Roman Reigns with dollar bills, as everyone gathered together to take part in it.

While the default emotion at a funeral is to feel sorrow, the Samoan culture believes in celebrating the life of the deceased alongside every other emotion. The Head of the Table embraced the culture during the memorial service and showcased some of his dance moves.

The Head of the Table had previously taken to social media after Sika Anoa'i's passing to express his gratitude to the fans for the love they gave the family during the difficult time.

Wrestling analyst believes Roman Reigns should return at SummerSlam 2024

The Tribal Chief is currently in the midst of a WWE hiatus following WrestleMania 40, and has been shooting for the upcoming film Good Fortune. With the production being completed, he should be expected to return to the ring sometime soon. However, this time his war will most likely be with Solo Sikoa.

Wrestling Analyst Sam Roberts believes that The Tribal Chief will possibly return at SummerSlam 2024 after the clash between Sikoa and Cody Rhodes.

"It does appear that Solo [Sikoa] vs. Cody [Rhodes] is going to be your match at SummerSlam, and the thing about that match is there's going to be a lot of people thinking Roman Reigns is coming back for it, and maybe he is, but I don't know for sure. That's one of those that like you can't put it on last unless Roman Reigns is coming back. Because otherwise, people are going to be very disappointed."

He further explained that if Sikoa wins the Undisputed WWE Championship, it would shake things up within The Bloodline Saga, and that The American Nightmare can win it back down the road.
