CM Punk returned to WWE after a brief hiatus and addressed his decision to join the OG Bloodline at Survivor Series. Punk helped them defeat The New Bloodline in the WarGames match at the premium live event.
The Best in the World said he knew what was next for him, but Seth Rollins interrupted and came to the ring to confront him. The two superstars had a physical confrontation, adding more hype to their rivalry.
It appears that Seth Rollins hates CM Punk and vice versa, and their feud has been going on for years. It started when The Best in the World left WWE back in 2014 and he was calling out the company for years. This didn't sit well with The Visionary, who had emerged as a megastar at the time.
In addition to that, Punk had taken shots at Rollins during his absence and the two had even teased a match during a confrontation on social media. Fast forward to 2023, Seth was furious when Punk returned at Survivor Series, but their rivalry was seemingly put off due to Punk's injury and his subsequent feud with Drew McIntyre.

Their rivalry was re-ignited earlier in the summer when Punk showed up and attacked McIntyre, inadvertently costing Rollins the title against Damian Priest at Money in the Bank. A month later, he hit The Visionary with a GTS at SummerSlam, where Seth was the Special Guest Referee in the CM Punk-Drew McIntyre bout.
Following their physical confrontation on RAW, things are expected to pick up pace going forward, possibly leading to a blockbuster match at WrestleMania 41.
Former WWE star explains why he supports Seth Rollins over CM Punk
The Seth Rollins-CM Punk rivalry is expected to intensify in the coming weeks, and a former WWE star has shared his thoughts on it.
Former WWE Superstar Nic Nemeth (aka Dolph Ziggler) recently appeared on the Busted Radio Open podcast, explaining why he supported The Visionary over The Best in the World.
"He's the one who's always been here. He's the one who made the play. He's the one who sacrificed the different things to stay. He didn't take off and show up when it was cool, and then just like, 'Oh, guess I'm back in the main event scene ten years later, forget everything I said.' There's something really special about that," Nic Nemeth said. [H/T - WrestlingInc.]
RAW next Monday will shed more light on what the plan is for CM Punk and Seth Rollins and whether the two megastars will collide sooner rather than later.
