The docuseries on Netflix focusing on Mr. McMahon goes beyond just discussing Vince McMahon. It also delves into his family life, particularly his son, Shane McMahon. Shane O'Mac, being the oldest child of the ex-WWE Chairman, plays a significant role in the documentary. His interviews offer insight into his experiences growing up as the son of The Boss, and the challenges he encountered being overshadowed by his father. Despite his professional demeanor throughout most of the series, there was a moment when he displayed some emotion.

Shane McMahon started getting goosebumps and even choked up when discussing his emphatic return in 2016. Having left the company in 2009, the 54-year-old hadn't been seen in nearly seven years. So, when his music hit and he came strutting out, the WWE Universe went wild, and that has since become a core memory, both for Shane and his family.

In episode six, Shane McMahon described how his father approached him with the idea. Excited by it, they saw it through, but the reaction they received was unexpected. The crowd was boisterous, to the point where Shane, Stephanie, and Vince McMahon couldn't hear each other. All they could do was look at each other, and seeing the pride in his father's eyes, Shane O'Mac began to get emotional. Even now, when reminiscing on that moment, Shane couldn't help but tear up.

"It was so rewarding to have an adulation that long and that loud...when you return to...something you love. I see my dad looking at me, and he has pride. I could see it in his eyes. Now, I'm getting choked up looking at that. My sister, she's starting to tear up, because again, we're all back together. It was a huge moment," said Shane McMahon

It certainly was a special moment, for Shane, his family, and the fans in attendance. To this day, it is considered one of the greatest returns of all time, especially considering no one expected it to happen.

Shane McMahon earned Vince's respect after WrestleMania 32

Shane McMahon's relationship with his father is far from simple. The docuseries consistently highlights Shane's efforts to gain Vince McMahon's approval over the years. It took Shane almost three decades of working for his father before he ultimately earned his respect.

After returning in 2016, Shane was unexpectedly placed in a match against The Undertaker at WrestleMania 32. To add to the pressure, it was a Hell in a Cell match. Despite ultimately losing, Shane put forth his best effort that night. Upon returning backstage, Vince McMahon congratulated him, a clear indication to Shane that he had earned his respect.

Their relationship may have been filled with conflict and it could still be that way. However, it is comforting to see that they were able to share a special father-son moment. A heartwarming moment, and one that was filled with both admiration and respect.
