Netflix's Vince McMahon docuseries, "Mr. McMahon," shed light on several untold stories and behind-the-scenes moments. In episode five of six-part series, Paul Heyman revealed a shocking incident transpired between the former WWE Chairman and Shane McMahon one night.

As per Heyman, both father and son were once involved in a heated altercation, which took a vicious turn. One night, when Vince was enjoying his meal, Shane O'Mac approached him with a creative pitch. He believed that his idea could do wonders if incorporated into a storyline. However, the former WWE CEO apparently did not like it and blatantly rebuffed it.

Regardless of the rejection, Shane McMahon was adamant about convincing his father about the idea. Paul Heyman revealed that tensions quickly escalated between the two due to their conflict of interests. As a result, Vince McMahon turned towards his son and made a malicious statement, stating that he would not approve of the idea as long as he was alive.

Vince, who was having his meal, apparently grabbed the knife and handed it to Shane O'Mac, asking the latter to stab him right into his heart and kill him in order to work on his idea and run things his way. The 79-year-old believed that Shane's level of desperation for his creative pitch to be implemented would depend on whether or not he could stab him in the heart.

The atmosphere was thick with tensions, as tempers were at a fever pitch between the two. With malignant intent, Vince McMahon proposed another offer to his son. He asked Shane McMahon to buy him out and get rid of him just as he did several years ago with his father when he took over the company from Vincent J. McMahon.

Shane McMahon revealed how he earned Vince McMahon's respect

The relationship between Shane McMahon and Vince McMahon has been a rollercoaster ride throughout the years. However, in the last episode of the docuseries, the 54-year-old revealed how he eventually earned his father's respect and admiration.

Shane O'Mac spent years trying to impress the former WWE Chairman by performing jaw-dropping stunts and delivering high-profile matches. However, he finally succeeded at WrestleMania 32 after his blockbuster Hell in a Cell Match with The Undertaker.

It was a match that took Vince McMahon's breath away and his respect for his son grew more. Following the bout, the 79-year-old was seen as emotional as he hugged Shane McMahon with tears in his eyes. Vince gave Shane a pat of appreciation on his back.

Moreover, it was also a special moment as Shane McMahon returned that year after a long break from pro wrestling and delivered an absolute banger at The Showcase of The Immortals.
