Why were The New Day crowned as new WWE Tag Team champions?

The New Day won the WWE Tag team Championship after they defeated Cesaro and Tyson Kidd at Extreme Rules, but this has come as a surprise to many as it was believed that Cesaro and Tyson Kidd would remain champions for a long span of time as they were developing a good chemistry between them.

It is being reported that the title change happened because some of the WWE officials liked the idea of The New Day defending their titles under the “Freebird Rule” with any two-man combination. It would be exciting to see how The New Day goes about this “Freebird Rule” in the WWE.
