CM Punk and Seth Rollins will inevitably battle at some stage as their heated feud grows on WWE RAW. The pair have exchanged jibes and threatened one another ever since the Best in the World returned at Survivor Series last November.
However, fans might have a while to wait to see Punk and Rollins lock horns. WWE's new regime's strategy has focused on long-term booking, which could delay their much-desired match until 2025, per PW Insider.
CM Punk and Seth Rollins' issues are personal, and the real-life element of their tension has fans eagerly anticipating them squaring off. They were expected to do so at WrestleMania XL, but Punk suffered a torn tricep injury.

The Second City Saint is embroiled in a feud with Drew McIntyre, but Rollins has been involved. He was the special guest referee in Punk's loss to McIntyre at SummerSlam.
The Visionary played a significant role in the match's conclusion. He put on Punk's much-cherished bracelet with his wife, AJ Lee, and dog Larry's names on it. He was met with a GTS, but McIntyre pounced with a Claymore and won.
Seth Rollins was ready to fight Punk the next night on WWE RAW until the latter ran after McIntyre, who was up in the stands. That left the former Shield member vulnerable to an attack from Bronson Reed, who hit him with six Tsunamis from the top rope.
The Architect is legitimately banged up and is taking time off to heal. This will extend the timeframe of his feud with Punk and their likely match or series of matches. Many assume they will face one another in one of the main events of WrestleMania 41 next year.
Was Seth Rollins' return and referee gig in CM Punk vs. Drew McIntyre at WWE SummerSlam unnecessary?
Seth Rollins looked set to take a lengthy time off after WrestleMania XL when he lost the World Heavyweight Championship. He wrestled both nights with a torn meniscus and underwent surgery four months ago.
It seemed as though Rollins wouldn't be seen on WWE TV until around the end of 2024. That wasn't the case, though, as he returned in June to challenge Damian Priest for the title he lost at Money in the Bank.
Seth Rollins lost to Priest thanks to CM Punk's shenanigans when Drew McIntyre tried cashing in his Money in the Bank briefcase. The former AEW star's plot to cost the Scot led to him also costing his other arch-nemesis.
The former world champ got involved in the Punk-McIntyre feud and was made a special referee. He promised to call the match down the middle but got into things with mostly CM Punk during the match at SummerSlam.
From a storyline perspective, Seth Rollins' return made sense, given that CM Punk cost McIntyre, and it had a knock-on effect. It also helped Priest win against one of WWE's biggest stars.
However, Rollins has competed in one match since returning, and a pre-match non-challenge stipulation was pointlessly withdrawn after his loss. He perhaps diminished the intensity of the Punk-McIntyre feud at SummerSlam, which should have focused on their hatred. It was a rushed decision to return so quickly.
