Former host of WWE's The Bump, Matt Camp, recently revealed that there was real-life tension between Roman Reigns and former Superstar Matt Riddle. The company released Riddle in 2023 due to various issues outside the ring.
In a recent video on his YouTube channel, The Wrestling Matt, Camp disclosed that the company took measures to keep Roman Reigns and Matt Riddle apart during an episode of The Bump in August 2021. Riddle was kept completely off the set until Reigns' interview was finished, even though Reigns had only joined via satellite.
The tension between the two likely originated from Riddle's comments that he could legitimately beat Reigns in a real fight. This didn't sit well with Reigns. Despite their real-life animosity, the two were able to put their differences aside and work together in 2022.

Matt Riddle gives his thoughts on a potential return to WWE
Matt Riddle is currently signed with Major League Wrestling (MLW) and also appears in New Japan Pro-Wrestling (NJPW).
During a recent interview, when asked about a potential return to WWE, Riddle didn't rule out the possibility. He expressed a similar openness toward AEW. Riddle mentioned that while he is actively working with MLW and NJPW and has even been in talks with TNA Wrestling, his primary focus is on himself and his family.
"WWE return, you never know. AEW, you never know. Right now, I work a lot with New Japan and MLW. I've been in talks with TNA. I've been in talks with everybody, to be honest. Right now, I'm focusing on myself. I just had a child. I have a six-month year old son, plus three other kids. My twin girls are 14 and my other son is 11. I have quite the roster," he said.
It will be interesting to see what the future holds for Matt Riddle moving forward.
