Why did WWE stall Jacob Fatu's debut for 3 months? Exploring the real reason

Jacob Fatu had signed a deal with WWE during WrestleMania 40 weekend. When the news surfaced, it was expected that he would make his debut almost immediately and join The Bloodline. However, instead of Fatu, The Bloodline's new recruits were Tama Tonga and Tonga Loa.

Speaking of Jacob Fatu's delayed debut, reports suggested that WWE was concerned about The Samoan Werewolf overshadowing Solo Sikoa's rising dominance. However, that might not have been the actual reason for Jacob Fatu debuting later than expected.

Fightful Select's Sean Ross Sapp dived deeper into the topic to explain why Fatu's past involving the law had an impact on the timeline:

"He was in prison when he was 18 years old. And as a result of that, he's not been able to work outside the United States. WWE had a ton of PLEs outside the United States from Scotland to France to Saudi Arabia. So it didn't make a lot of sense for WWE to debut him and then not be able to feature him on those shows. So he's there now. He's made a great impact. He's going to be a big part of WWE moving forward."

The premium live events following WrestleMania XL were Backlash in France, King & Queen of the Ring in Saudi Arabia, and Clash at the Castle in the United Kingdom. The next two premium live events are Money in the Bank in Toronto, Canada, and SummerSlam 2024 in Cleveland, Ohio.

WWE has already come up with Jacob Fatu's first rivalry

The Samoan Werewolf's debut was one of the top moments of WWE programming in the past couple of months. Even though he was in the ring for a brief period, he destroyed Cody Rhodes, Kevin Owens, and Randy Orton, making an immense impact on the storyline.

As per Xero News, WWE is considering Jacob Fatu vs. Bobby Lashley as the first rivalry for the newest member of The Bloodline. Currently, Bobby Lashley is recovering from an injury he suffered in May, which even resulted in him dropping out of the King and Queen of the Ring tournament.

The Street Profits have already had a feud with The Bloodline, and Bobby Lashley's return can be used to revive the rivalry.
