CM Punk did not mince his words when addressing Seth Rollins on RAW, reminding him of his past in WWE. The Straight Edge Superstar, in a backstage interview with Jackie Redmond, claimed that he had no hatred for The Visionary and was the one who once saved Rollins from getting fired by WWE.

Punk said that Rollins wanted to be on everybody's top 10 list of greatest of all time but he saw him among the top 10 who were to be fired from the Stamford-based promotion once.

“He wants to be on everybody's Top 10 list of greatest of all time. But I remember a time when he was on a top 10 list of people to be fired, and I SHIELDED him from that,” Punk said.

The Straight Edge Superstar is factually correct here. Seth Rollins reportedly could have been fired from WWE in 2010 when he clashed with WWE trainer Terry Taylor.

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

Seth Rollins joined WWE's developmental system in 2010 after making strides on the independent scene and also in Ring of Honor as Tyler Black. However, Rollins didn't have a decent start with trainer Terry Taylor. Before joining WWE, Taylor had worked at IMPACT wrestling and had quite a negative experience working with Rollins.

Seth Rollins had some differences with Taylor during training sessions and he would challenge Taylor on certain points saying that his views on wrestling were stuck in the past.

Rollins' conduct didn't please Triple H. While speaking with Stone Cold Steve Austin on Broken Skull Sessions, Rollins said that Triple H took him aside, and told him bluntly that he saw nothing special in him, and he should leave if he wanted to do things his own way.

"Hunter took me aside and was like, 'Look, I don't see anything special in you.' If you don't want to play ball and don't want to work with us, you can go back to Ring of Honor and do things your way, but you need to start doing things our way.' I was like, 'Oh man, my dream is about to go up in smoke here,'" Seth Rollins said. [H/T: Fightful Select]

Rollins said that later Joey Mercury sat him down and explained how he should go about learning to play the game in WWE.

Seth Rollins accused CM Punk of twisting facts

Rollins heard what Punk had to say about him and later turned up on RAW accusing Punk of twisting facts. He accepted that he once respected Punk and thanked him for helping him in WWE in his initial days.

However, Rollins looked down on Punk for turning his back on his friends once The Straight Edge Superstar left the promotion in 2014. Rollins said that Punk ghosted him and other people after quitting the Stamford-based promotion.

Later Sami Zayn came out and reminded Rollins of how his fracas with Punk brings out the worst in Rollins. However, The Visionary asked Zayn to focus on settling his issues with Drew McIntyre while he settles his with Punk.

It now remains to be seen how Punk will respond to Seth Rollins' claims.
