Former WWE Champion Brock Lesnar was last seen on television at SummerSlam 2023, where he locked horns against Cody Rhodes. The end of the match saw The Beast Incarnate break character and in a passing of the torch moment raised the hand of The American Nightmare.
It has been over one year since Brock Lesnar showed up on the Stamford-based promotion. The whispers of The Beast’s return are at their peak. Fans and critics have speculated that the multi-time world champion would return this year, but it seems unlikely given how his name has now been entangled in legal matters. With all but one major PLE left for the year, Survivor Series, Lesnar will probably sit out the rest of the year.
The comeback of The Beast Incarnate majorly depends on how the Janel Grant case unfolds. Lesnar’s name was alluded to in the case which was filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, in a lawsuit against former CEO Vince McMahon. The case will resume later this year in December and WWE is likely to keep him off-screen until the matter reaches a suitable conclusion. Bringing back the star could lead to backlash from fans and critics and that is something WWE would likely want to steer clear of.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Brock Lesnar is undoubtedly one of WWE's greatest attractions and a star with massive drawing power, but it is a given that with the case ongoing, fans won't be seeing the star in 2024. Triple H and the rest of WWE have left no stone unturned in dissociating their names from the Janel Grant case and that will certainly be the way forward in 2024 and 2025.
WWE Hall of Famer questioned Brock Lesnar’s return
Former WWE legend and Hall of Famer, Eric Bischoff has raised eyebrows on the potential return of Brock Lesnar. He has raised concerns about whether The Beast Incarnate wanted to wrestle another match in the Stamford-based company.
While speaking on his 83 weeks podcast, Bischoff expressed that Lesnar has already made a huge amount of money from his career and may not feel the need to perform inside the squared circle again.
"No way to know man. Brock's unique. Brock's got enough money he could live the next three lives ... His kids will never be able to spend the money that Brock has made, and beyond the money, Brock has farming. That's his joy, that's his passion, that's where Brock is at peace based on what I've heard. I don't know Brock that well, and man I don't know he doesn't need to so it's a question of does he want to, and at some point you just don't want to anymore. What's Brock gonna do that he hasn't done a dozen times in the last dozen years?" he said.
It remains to be seen whether the former UFC Champion will show up in WWE once again.
