If there's one absent superstar whose return to the squared circle is immensely awaited in 2025, it's Brock Lesnar. The WWE Universe has eagerly waited for The Beast Incarnate's return since SummerSlam 2023. However, there is disappointing news for the ardent Lesnar fans.
According to Dr. Chris Featherstone, who took to his X (fka Twitter) account to report that Lesnar might not return to WWE television anytime soon. He stated that there had been no recent internal discussions about The Beast's return to the Stamford-based promotion.
"I have been informed that there's been no internal conversations regarding Brock Lesnar coming back to WWE, and the belief is that he will not be returning any time in the foreseeable future," Dr. Chris reported.

Lesnar was rumored to return at Royal Rumble 2024, but he was likely pulled from all the WWE programs after he was seemingly alluded to in the lawsuit filed by Janel Grant against Vince McMahon. The current WWE Intercontinental Champion, Bron Breakker, reportedly filled Lesnar's spot.
The Beast last competed in a WWE ring nearly a year and a half ago at SummerSlam 2023, where he lost to Cody Rhodes. While he was expected to return at the Royal Rumble, there were also rumors that he was slated to face Dominik Mysterio at Elimination Chamber 2024.
WWE stayed tight-lipped about Brock Lesnar's name for a long time. It's only recently when the CCO Triple H was in London when he spoke about a possible Lesnar return. Hunter gave a vague response when asked about The Beast's comeback, saying that Lesnar would return only when he wanted to.
"You’d have to ask Brock Lesnar that. Brock does his own thing. He’s up in Canada I’m sure, watching his kids play hockey and enjoying life. If and when he decides that he would like to do something, we’d be open to the conversation, but we’ll see," Triple H answered on a question by Mail Sport. [H/T: WrestleTalk]
Brock Lesnar was rumored to face Gunther at WWE WrestleMania 40
The Beast's face-off with Gunther at Royal Rumble 2023 was an eye-catching moment. Since the occasion, there were rumors that The Beast would soon exchange fists with The Ring General in a WWE match.
Wrestling journalist Dave Meltzer also reported that there were plans for a Lesnar clash against Gunther at WrestleMania 40. It wasn't clear if The Ring General's Intercontinental Title would have been on the line or not. It is worth noting that Sami Zayn ended the 37-year-old's record title reign of 666 days at the Show of Shows.
In a conversation with Alex McCarthy of Daily Mail, Gunther opened up on the prospect of facing Lesnar after their encounter at Royal Rumble 2023. He confirmed that he had also heard about a potential bout, and was up for it, but wasn't sure of the chances of the match happening.
As of now, Gunther is the current World Heavyweight Champion and recently defeated Finn Balor and Damian Priest in a Triple Threat contest to defend his title at Saturday Night's Main Event.
It remains to be seen if Brock Lesnar will return before WrestleMania 41, and square off against Gunther on The Grandest Stage of Them All.
