Where is he now?
Sadly, Big John Studd is no longer with us. Studd passed away in the spring of 1995, following a battle with cancer. At the time of his passing, he was only 47 years old. The legend certainly left his mark on the sport of professional wrestling.
He was a monster among men with his intimidating, towering presence and his unmistakably larger-than-life persona. Studd is widely regarded as one of the greatest "big men" of all time. Standing 6'10', Studd very rarely faced anyone who could match his dominant in-ring presence.
Big John Studd was inducted into the WCW Hall of Fame in 1995. He was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2004.
Studd left behind a son, Sean, who is following in his father's footsteps as a professional wrestler. Sean is currently working across the country for various independent promotions.
