So the fears expressed in one of my earlier articles were right. Recent reports have emerged that there is no date set for the return of Becky Lynch. According to the reports, it's a concussion, and there's usually not a definite date for it to get healed, so one just can't put a date to it.
This comes at a time when Becky Lynch was about to take part in one of the biggest matches of her career against Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series, and this comes at a time when The Man was going through one of the biggest pushes ever in WWE history.
She had gained so much momentum that she had become the top dog of WWE, usurping some big names. But in between all of that, a misplaced punch by Nia Jax has put her out of action for an indefinite time. One of the biggest pushes in WWE has been killed (or put on hold) by an errant punch from Nia Jax.
It becomes very important for WWE to wake up now and set a precedent because what has happened has actually not benefited anyone, and this is not the first time a wrestler has been put out of action by a concussion.
Just a few weeks back, Alexa Bliss fell victim to a concussion, and is indefinitely out of action. Even before that, there have been many cases of similar things happening to wrestlers due to the errant and somewhat erratic behaviour of other wrestlers.
Alexa Bliss is already out, and there's no date set for when Becky comes back. It's high time WWE puts the health of their wrestlers at the forefront, and set a precedence to at least try and minimise the risk of such a thing happening again.
