Believe it or not, Daniel Bryan's current reign as WWE Champion is longer than all his previous reigns put together. You heard that right. After that long retirement and hiatus, Bryan is back to full health, and as a heel WWE champion, it's been something out of the ordinary.

Nobody would have ever expected that Bryan would ever turn heel in the first place. He was the biggest babyface of the PG Era. Many thought that he would be a lifelong babyface, but that didn't turn out to be the case.
Not only this, but he's absolutely killed it as a heel, becoming the most hated figure on SmackDown Live. There are a few runs which many people wish had lasted longer, for example - Hollywood Rock in 2003 and heel Batista in 2010. WWE may want to capitalize on this incredible run and have it last for longer.
