While many fans had little expectations about what John Cena could be doing at The Show of Shows this year, his sensational return as The Doctor of Thuganomics was something nobody in the world expected.

Considering almost everyone in the WWE Universe wanted The Cenation Leader to be involved in Kurt Angle's farewell match, the creative team went ahead with Baron Corbin as the main antagonist.

Much to our dismay, The Lone Wolf finally succeeded in conquering a battered veteran in The Olympic Gold Medalist, but Cena's return in his popular old gimmick could be more than what is meeting the eye at the moment.

WWE certainly knew the amount of reception they would receive if they continued with the original plan of having Corbin tussle it out with Angle, and the company went ahead and displayed Cena in an unforgettable avatar.

The Doctor of Thuganomics interrupted Elias' performance and went on an absolute rant before finishing it off with an Attitude Adjustment. The booking felt genuine and was successful in diverting our attention towards Angle's farewell encounter. Now, that's clever booking.
