What a difference a year could make. Kofi Kingston's journey to the very top of the industry has been emotional, riveting, and absolutely deserving of recognition.

The Dreadlocked Dynamo entered the MetLife Stadium as the biggest underdog in the entire industry and through his passion and perseverance managed to knock Daniel Bryan out to win the WWE Championship.

Now, many in the WWE Universe were expecting Xavier Woods and Big E to turn on Kingston and ignite a blockbuster rivalry for the ages.

However, the company avoided going that route and did something that felt pretty genuine and sensitive. Kofi Kingston has cemented his legacy as one of the greatest underdogs in the company's history and much of the credit here goes to 'The New' Daniel Bryan on managing to gravitate such nuclear heat in such a short amount of time.
