Many thought that once Triple H suffered a torn pectoral muscle at the Crown Jewel event, his rumored match against Batista at WrestleMania 35 was off.

But due to his herculean healing rate, The Game was medically cleared well before the Show of the Shows.

The seeds that were planted at SmackDown 1,000 when Batista said 'Triple H has done everything in the business - except beat him' would now be able to be harvested as The Animal would challenge Triple H to a match at 'Mania.

It took a few weeks, but once the back-and-forth between the two men ended, Triple H accepted Batista's challenge but made the match 'No Holds Barred'.

He felt it wouldn't allow Batista to quit WWE as he had done before on a few different occasions.

The Animal agreed to that stipulation but then wanted one of his own. If Triple H loses the match at WrestleMania 35, he must retire from in-ring competition.

So now that the match has higher stakes than ever thought before, which man will prevail? The wrestler turned Hollywood actor who has always only wanted one more match or the man who has created the future of the business in NXT while also gaining more and more power backstage on the main roster?

Whatever happens, the match may be brutal, but here are five possible finishes for the 'No Holds Barred/Triple H retires from wrestling if he loses' match between The Animal and The Game at WrestleMania 35.

#5 Triple H wins clean

The most straight-forward ending is Triple H winning after pinning Batista.
The most straight-forward ending is Triple H winning after pinning Batista.

Logic dictates that this is Triple H's match to win or lose. He loses everything if he cannot defeat The Animal whereas Batista will likely walk away regardless if he wins or loses.

Unless he's in worse health than he's letting on, I don't see Triple H losing this match. He's extremely hands-on in both NXT and backstage in the WWE. He's still in good shape and can work a good match depending on if the opponent is not older than he is.

The 'No Holds Barred' stipulation is very important because it means they can do anything and everything to each other in order to triumph.

Whether it is the use of weapons, chairs, tables or a certain type of hammer, the easiest path to a satisfying conclusion is Triple H 'beating' Batista enough so that he can pedigree him and pick up the 1, 2, 3.

#4 Batista wins clean

Could the Animal walk out of WrestleMania 35 with the Game's career in his hands?
Could the Animal walk out of WrestleMania 35 with the Game's career in his hands?

Although I think Triple H will walk away with his in-ring career intact, WWE could always swerve us somehow.

A lot of the times the outcomes of certain matches aren't even determined until the day of a show or a PPV.

While this probably isn't one of those matches that will be decided at the last moment, a huge swerve of Batista winning would set up a huge storyline for post-'Mania.

With Triple H's in-ring career done, how will he handle it? Will he bow out graciously and accept a 'WWE civilian life' or will he refuse to go down kicking and screaming?

The main reason for this match is two-fold - Batista wants one last match with The Game and Triple H needs to get a win over The Animal in his career.

A more shocking outcome would be to have Batista power bomb The Game into oblivion and make good on his promise to end Triple H's career.

Since the stipulation means there will be a lot of high spots and brutality, Batista could be the man to end Triple H's career by picking up a clean win at 'Mania.

#3 The brutality leads to a No-Contest

With the 'No Holds Barred' stipulation, there might be some dangerous spots that could end it for both men
With the 'No Holds Barred' stipulation, there might be some dangerous spots that could end it for both men

As stated previously, the 'No Holds Barred' stipulation means that a lot of violence should be expected in the match, albeit violence within the current WWE parameters.

It might have some blood, but numerous power bombs to Triple H or sledgehammer shots to Batista might leave either man or both men simply unable to continue.

They are both in their late 40s and will likely have to rely on big spots with maximum punishment guaranteed.

If they both go through some tables or Batista spears The Game into the steps or something that incapacitates both men during the match, it might put them in a spot where neither man is able to continue.

That could ensure another match between the two if this happens and it would at least mean that Batista didn't officially win, so Triple H's career is still safe.

Depending on how long Batista is sticking around in this run, a No-Contest might be unsatisfying to fans rooting for either man, but it is a possible outcome if the feud is to go past WrestleMania.

#2 Triple H somehow gets Batista to 'quit' again

Will the Batista's past of 'quitting' come into play in the match?
Will the Batista's past of 'quitting' come into play in the match?

With the constant changing of the landscape of matches this year, there are still a few days for some things to be added to the match.

Even though it is not technically an 'I Quit' match, with all of the focus from Triple H being put on the idea that Batista has quit on WWE before, he might make that an added stipulation.

Or perhaps he just tries to get him to quit anyways since that would go along with 'the Animal's history of quitting and HHH's Cerebral Assassin nature.

What better way for The Game to win than to say he made Batista quit again? If it wasn't so important, they wouldn't have mentioned him quitting throughout the build of the feud.

It could have just been me reading too much into things, but words that Superstars use are often used for a reason.

Maybe he holds a sledgehammer over Batista's head and says 'quit or I'll make you quit', but the match ending with The Animal quitting is certainly a possibility given the framework of the build of the feud.

#1 Triple H wins after possible interference from someone

Given the stipulations, outside interference is very likely.
Given the stipulations, outside interference is very likely.

Since the feud was kicked off on the idea that Batista 'ruined' Ric Flair's 70th birthday celebration, something tells me that Flair could possibly return the favor come April 7th.

Once again, anything goes with the 'No Holds Barred' stipulation and the story would come full circle if Flair, the man who was attacked in order to get Triple H's attention, helps lead The Game to victory.

In WWE's eyes, Flair didn't really get to celebrate his birthday, so this could make up for that, or he could celebrate even harder if his daughter walks out of the main event with two titles (please, no!).

Even someone like Shawn Michaels could also interfere given the fact that his best friend's career is on the line. He might not want his friend forced into the same situation as he was when HBK lost his career by succumbing to the Undertaker.

He's also the man who retired Flair and he was present during the festivities of Flair's celebration.

To make a long story short, the stipulation means any amount of chicanery or interference can and will likely go down at The Grandest Stage of Them All.

Flair needs some sort of redemption from the 'heinous act', so either he, Michaels or any other number of people could interfere to save The Game's career.
