While it is customary for a WWE Superstar to lose in their last match for the company, an exception could be made in this case.

Baron Corbin is universally despised by the WWE fans. They wanted to see another match take place as Angle's last, but all they got was Corbin facing Angle. As a result, they have sufficient reason to object to it.

WrestleMania is often about sending the fans home happy.

This is something that WWE could do with Kurt Angle as well.

In his last match, instead of losing to Corbin, he could give the fans something to cheer about and celebrate at the end of the night. If Kurt Angle defeats Corbin, it will be bad for Corbin's career, but that is something that he has time to recover from with proper booking.

Kurt Angle, on the other hand, will get only one retirement match, unless he pulls a Ric Flair.
