#1 The last gift to a father
Jason Jordan was injured in WWE during the leadup to last year's WrestleMania. He had surgery, and the news slowly but surely percolated, that Jordan would not be returning to a WWE ring ever again.
The injury was serious, and Jordan had instead taken on a backstage role with the company. However, in 2019, a rumour emerged, stating that Jordan might be able to return to WWE in an in-ring role.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Jordan's injury came months after his first big push, where he was called Kurt Angle's illegitimate child. He was given win after win, and fans thought that Jordan would be facing Angle at WrestleMania 34. However, his injury made that impossible.
One of the best ways that Jordan could return to the ring is by knocking out Baron Corbin before the Kurt Angle match and taking his place.
This way, he would face his 'father' in the ring and gain legitimate heat as a heel.
However, if WWE wanted Jason Jordan to have a run as a face instead, they could have him return and sabotage Corbin, helping Kurt Angle to win.
This could also lead to a program between him and Corbin.
However, if Jordan is legitimately unable to return on a full-time basis due to his injuries, he could still return and provide a distraction. There would be no physicality involved, and this would still be a believable continuation of a previous storyline.
