The United States Championship hasn't really had the best days last year. A lackluster Jinder Mahal reign, followed by a lackluster Nakamura reign, and yet another lackluster Rusev reign didn't help the title much.

But ever since Samoa Joe has won the title, the situation seems to be improving a little. Joe, after all, is a world-class wrestler and looks credible as a champion. Joe is all set to defend his title against Rey Mysterio at WrestleMania.

The match should be a good 15-20 minutes competition, as both Joe and Mysterio have what it takes to tell a convincing story inside the ring, plus high-flying action and drama, and Hunter would surely give them proper time for this.

But, with the recent rumors of Mysterio not being cleared to compete at 'Mania, could we see a surprise opponent for Joe? Whatever the case may be, Samoa Joe would walk out still as the champion and continue to have a lengthy reign with the title! It's high time he is booked as a top champion who rules the competition and is not scared to put his title on the line against anyone.
