The Holy Grail of wrestling events is on the horizon as WrestleMania is just a week away. This is expected to be the longest PPV of all time with the RAW Women’s Championship match between Ronda Rousey, Charlotte Flair and Becky Lynch set to be the main event.
However, there is another story that is making bigger waves in the wrestling world and it is that of Kofi Kingston, with his New Day buddies, and WWE Champion Daniel Bryan.
Prior to the Elimination Chamber, no one in their wildest dreams would have thought that Kofi Kingston vs Daniel Bryan would be the most anticipated match at the Show of Shows.
However, here we are. Vince McMahon pulled out another trick from under his sleeve when he made Big E and Xavier Woods compete in a gauntlet Tag Team match with the stipulation that should they win, Kingston would get a shot against Bryan at ‘Mania.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
In the end, Big E and Xavier Woods won to seal Kingston’s place at ‘Mania. However, most people now think that the New Day could actually break up. But there is a way to make them fight against each other without breaking up the faction.
Make Kofi win the title
The first thing to do would be to put the title on Kingston. This is a man who has been in the company for 11 years and is a sensational athlete, which makes him deserving of such an honor. The huge buildup for this game will also ensure that should Kingston win, New Day merchandise sales would go through the roof.
As a result, breaking up the faction after that would not be a profitable endeavor for Vince McMahon. Kingston is perhaps the most over Superstar in the WWE right now and almost every fan wants to see the title on him, doing so will only boost the ratings.
Take pride in brotherhood
Following his win, his New Day brothers would obviously come out to celebrate with Kingston on the next SmackDown Live episode. After all, it is months of sweat and tears that have got them to this point.
While celebrating, Kingston could take pride in the fact that the New Day is a real brotherhood as both Big E and Xavier Woods put their bodies on the line for him. He could then state as to how their faction is nearly unbreakable as there is not an ounce of jealousy in his two brothers, despite the fact that their contribution was what led him to earn the title match in the first place.
Big E and Xavier Woods, too, could join with their respective reasons for why the New Day is unbreakable and then, all of a sudden, ‘No Chance’ hits as Vince McMahon makes his way to the ring…
A triple threat match between New Day
With McMahon entering the scene, everyone will now feel like something is up. After all, a heel Vince McMahon is as unpredictable as it gets. The Chairman of the company could praise Kofi Kingston at first for his achievement.
He could claim that he never believed in Kingston before dropping the bomb that he still doesn’t think he is deserving of the title as his New Day mates had to help him earn a shot at WrestleMania.
McMahon could then continue to claim that both Big E and Xavier Woods deserve the title more than Kingston because they actually won their gauntlet match, unlike Kingston, who lost his match against the very last opponent: Daniel Bryan.
As a result, McMahon could decide to give a title shot to both Big E and Xavier Woods in a Triple Threat match against Kofi Kingston for the main event of SmackDown Live.
Kofi Kingston wins and Daniel Bryan demands a rematch
Obviously, there will be a tense feeling now between the New Day members but they could hug it out before the match and promise that no matter what the outcome is, they will remain brothers.
The three then could have a great match where all of them come close to pinning each other before being interrupted by the third competitor. In the end, Kofi Kingston wins after Big E’s Big Ending on Xavier Woods but then Kingston executes a Trouble in Paradise, which throws Big E out of the ring, and then steals the pin on Woods.
After Kingston’s win, Big E and Xavier Woods could give him tense looks before leaving the scene, clearly suggesting that the promise might not be kept after all.
In the meantime, Daniel Bryan could be backstage asking McMahon to give him a rematch.
Daniel Bryan re-match
As a result of Bryan’s insistence, Kingston could defend his title on SmackDown the following week against Daniel Bryan. Prior to the match, however, Big E and Xavier Woods could be seen coming out of McMahon’s room with evil smiles on their faces.
After that, McMahon could make it a No DQ match, which could suggest that Woods and Big E want to sabotage Kingston’s defense.
The match could then start and just when Kingston is seemingly getting the upper hand, Woods and Big E come out and just stand at ringside while giving death stares to Kingston.
Bryan, then, could capitalize and almost make a quick pin on Kingston, who kicks out at the last moment. Big E and Xavier Woods could seemingly look disappointed with it and start helping Bryan’s side-kick Rowan in assisting Bryan.
Rowan could become complacent with the newfound help and just sit back to let the other two New Day members do the work he was supposed to.
Eventually, at one point, Big E could then offer Bryan a chair from one side of the ring and Woods on the other side could hand out a stick. Bryan could then be confused on what he should choose and Kingston could then capitalize and hit Bryan with a Trouble in Paradise before pushing both Woods and Big E to the ringside and pinning Bryan for the victory.
The finale
After that, Kingston could grab his belt and run out of the ring while Woods and Big E make the chase. In the meantime, Daniel Bryan is furious and exasperated at Rowan for being lethargic and could vent his anger on the former Wyatt family member.
In a fit of rage, Bryan could push Rowan, who could then assault Bryan, paving way for a feud between the two as the show closes for the night.
The following week on SmackDown, Kingston could come out and say as to how he loved his brothers more than anything and how they violated the promise, to which both Big E and Xavier Woods could come out to the ring.
As they stare each other, suggesting that a brawl is imminent, they could suddenly break into hysterical laughter and hug each other out before revealing that everything after the Triple Threat match’s conclusion has been a ploy to fool McMahon in the month of April.
A perfect circle of sorts!
