Murphy has benefited in a big way from joining Seth Rollins' faction. After his trilogy against Aleister Black ended, he sat distraught at ringside throughout until the main event, when Rollins pleaded with him for help.

The Australian would help take out The Big Show and join Rollins and The AoP in what's been the biggest push of his career so far. He would quickly become one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions with Rollins, though they ended up losing it to The Street Profits in only a few weeks.

While he hasn't been cleared for the Performance Center shows, it's highly possible that WWE was saving him for WrestleMania to make a big return. While the feud hasn't needed Murphy to reach its culmination, it wouldn't be surprising to see WWE have Murphy interfere to cost Owens the match.

It would be a simple way of protecting Owens and a good way of bringing Murphy back into the fray. Hopefully, it wasn't any major illness or injury that's kept him away. It could be a precautionary measure on WWE's part.
