#1 Only way to protect the losing Superstars in defeat

Braun Strowman, Sheamus and Daniel Bryan have a ton of momentum by their side at the moment. If WWE considers booking a match between Strowman and Sheamus, one of the two Superstars will lose out on momentum.

The Intercontinental Champion cannot afford to lose a big match as he had lost the match against Tyson Fury at Crown Jewel, and another loss at a mega pay-per-view event can have a major negative impact on his career. In case WWE books Sheamus to lose against Strowman, it will devalue all the work that WWE has done to make him look like an unstoppable heel on the Blue brand.

So, by going forward in that direction, WWE is likely to book themselves in the corner. A multi-man ladder match will provide protection to the Superstars who fail to win the Intercontinental title. Over the years, the fans have seen several Superstars fall down in the ranks after suffering a defeat at WrestleMania, and neither WWE nor the fans would want Sheamus or Strowman to lose this match.

Also, a win in this ladder match will solidify the winner’s position as the Intercontinental Champion because he would have overcome six Superstars to capture the title.
