The Fiend was gone for three months, and his absence took a toll on Alexa Bliss. The latter worked relentlessly to keep the feud with Randy Orton interesting on WWE RAW. However, she ended up losing a lot of individual opportunities in the process. She pinned RAW Women’s Champion Asuka, but creative didn’t pursue that storyline.

Even at the Royal Rumble, Alexa Bliss was underwhelmingly eliminated by Rhea Ripley from the women’s match within a few minutes. It was uncharacteristic of her not to confront Ripley when the latter made her debut on WWE RAW. She was constantly working for The Fiend while her ambitions were halted, little by little. All these factors could have motivated her to betray The Fiend in the latter’s big match at WrestleMania.

It is possible that Alexa Bliss orchestrated the spectacle to keep The Fiend from picking up a vital win. The duo have worked together for a long time now, and she knows The Fiend well enough to pull off tricks like these.

In that case, she will have to keep up the ruse in front of The Fiend on WWE RAW. If Alexa Bliss did betray The Fiend at WrestleMania, we are headed towards an unfortunate yet inevitable split of the supernatural duo.
