#2 Jimmy Uso turns heel and helps Roman Reigns retain his title at WrestleMania Backlash
WrestleMania Backlash is set to feature Roman Reigns defending his Universal Championship against Cesaro in what would likely be the main event of the pay-per-view.
This past week on Friday Night SmackDown, Jimmy Uso finally returned from injury. He was last seen in late 2020 during the feud between Jey Uso and Roman Reigns when he saved Jey from Reigns' assault at WWE Hell in a Cell 2020. This week on SmackDown, there were clear tensions between Jimmy and Reigns.
However, things could change with Jimmy Uso properly turning heel and helping Roman Reigns successfully defend his Universal title at WrestleMania Backlash. As per the latest report from WrestlingNews, the plans are for The Usos to win the SmackDown tag team titles from a babyface team soon.
"WrestlingNews.co was told that the next several months are mapped out for Reigns and his faction and the plan is for Jimmy and Jey to win the SmackDown Tag Team titles from a babyface team in the coming months."
If that is the direction WWE is planning to go, we could see a proper heel turn from Jimmy Uso and a heel run from The Bloodline in the coming months on SmackDown. Losing in this manner at WrestleMania Backlash would also protect Cesaro to some extent.
