The two stars put on a serviceable brawl, with both showing great fire. Apollo has been showcasing some great character work lately, as seen in this match.

A few things hampered the clash between these two. The goofy stipulation was rendered useless as the match went on. Big E and Apollo also weren't given enough time to explore the space and really get into it.
The ending didn't help matters. RAW Underground star Dabba-Kato appeared to help Apollo win the match. This left fans watching WrestleMania scratching their heads, especially since they tried to play it off like we hadn't seen him before.
All of this led to a deflating ending. It was an average scrap. The two could've put on a better match, but they were left handcuffed by time and odd booking decisions.
