#13. Braun Strowman is Vince McMahon's long-term pet project
The Monster Among Men's WWE career may not have reached the desired heights just yet, but he's still one of the most popular superstars on the roster.
Strowman recently appeared on the Not Sam Wrestling podcast where he spoke in-depth about his strong relationship with Vince McMahon. He revealed that McMahon has been very hands-on with his character ever since it was created and was truly grateful for the opportunities that he has been afforded with.
However, it hasn't always been a smooth journey for Strowman, who went through a phase where he was very frustrated with his career trajectory.
That's when he had an important conversation with Vince McMahon that renewed his belief.
"I got to a point where I got really frustrated with everything that was going on. I called Vince McMahon and asked him what is going on because I am miserable, and he talked me off the ledge. He was like, 'look big man, I want you for the long-haul. It doesn't matter what you are doing now, I care about what you are doing 10 years from now. I've invested in you.
You are one of my guys, don't worry, you're fine. And just hearing that coming from that man, I don't know, it's just something I legitimately walked into a production meeting one day and I was like I've had enough and was mad about everything. He kicked everybody out of the production meeting two hours before Raw was about to start, the show was about to start and he talked to me for 45 minutes a heart to heart, man to man conversation and it opened my eyes to the picture of wow, why am I worrying about this?
