After AJ Styles mocked The Undertaker on RAW, The Phenom returned at WWE Super ShowDown 2020 as the final entrant in the Gauntlet Match for the Tuwaiq Mountain Trophy and defeated AJ Styles to win it. Following that, the two started a highly personal rivalry on the Road to WrestleMania 36 with The Undertaker debuting a new version of his gimmick - The Unholy Trinity. At WrestleMania 36, The Phenom defeated The Phenomenal One in a highly-acclaimed cinematic-style Boneyard Match, which also will be the final match of The Undertaker's WWE career.

The SLAMMY award for Overall Superstar of the Year went to the current WWE Champion, Drew McIntyre. 2020 was the most successful year in the career of Drew McIntyre. Starting with a massive victory at Royal Rumble 2020, Drew McIntyre went on to defeat 'The Beast Incarnate' Brock Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania 36 to win the WWE Championship for the first time in his career.
After holding the title for months and successfully defending it against the likes of Seth Rollins, Bobby Lashley, and many others, McIntyre lost the WWE Championship to Randy Orton at Hell in a Cell 2020. However, he regained the title a few weeks later on the RAW before Survivor Series 2020 as he defeated Orton to win his second WWE Championship.
