Grey took Adonis down to the mat for a few quick pinfall attempts, but couldn't secure the win. Ashante forced August into the ropes to break a standing armbar and yanked his shoulder to send his opponent's neck into the ropes.
Grey was dumped to the floor while the 205 Live crowd jeered Adonis. Back in the ring, Adonis cut off his opponent's comeback with the AirDrop dropkick. He followed it up with a move from fellow 205 Live star and mentor The Brian Kendrick, the Captain's Hook. Grey broke out of the submission but found himself back on the mat.
At this point, Ariya Daivari came out to watch his long-time rival.
Adonis and Grey traded shots, with the latter getting the better of his opponent with a series of running clotheslines. A bulldog planted Adonis and Grey followed that with his rope-walking crossbody. Ashante fell to the floor where both men ran into one another with devastating clotheslines.
Grey was up first, and Daivari told him that he needed to take the count-out win. August refused, stating that he'd do it his way. Thanks to that, Adonis dropped Grey over the ropes with a Stun Gun. The Long Kiss Goodnight finished the job.
