The Chicago crowd who stuck around after WWE SmackDown Live concluded got a pretty great show from WWE's Cruiserweights. Enzo Amore didn't make the show, but there were plenty of other 205 Live Superstars ready to entertain the packed arena.
So let's get right to the action to see what WWE's Cruiserweight showcase brought to the table on the night after Christmas.
Drew Gulak was backstage and Cedric Alexander asked him if he was waiting for his boss to call. Gulak asked why he would be waiting for Sasha Banks to call and then informed him that Enzo Amore isn't there tonight but he's waiting for his call.

Cedric Alexander said 205 Live without Enzo Amore as the Cruiserweight Champion would be like "It's A Wonderful Life" and then he told Gulak that it would be a better 205 Live for everyone, especially him.
Hideo Itami vs Gentleman Jack Gallagher
Gallagher started off on the microphone by talking up what Itami's knee did to The Brian Kendrick's face on the previous night. Once the match got started, Itami took advantage from the beginning, but Gallagher would take over later on with some dirty tactics.
Gallagher kept Itami down with some submission holds and hard-hitting offence but Itami would always come back when he could to stay alive. Then Hideo Itami started hitting some clotheslines and a suplex.
Gallagher got Itami down in a Captain's Hook just like Kendrick uses as a homage to him but Itami would soon wrap him up in a Rings Of Saturn making Gentleman Jack Gallagher tap out.

Tony Nese vs Akira Tozawa
Akira Tozawa took it to Nese right from the beginning but Nese fought back with some vicious offence. They then traded stiff chops and Akira Tozawa kicked a seated Nese and hit his senton.
But Nese would soon take Tozawa out and pull him to the floor outside. They fought on and traded for position until Akira Tozawa hit a kick to the head and climbed to the top rope. Nese hit a palm strike that sent Tozawa to the canvas.
Nese then hit his Running Knee in the corner while Tozawa was seated and picked up the win.

Ariya Daivari and Drew Gulak vs Mustafa Ali and Cedric Alexander
Before this match got started, everyone had a chance on the microphone. The babyfaces were trying to convince Gulak and Daivari that Enzo Amore didn't have their best interest at heart and concluded it by asking if Amore had the choice between Nia Jax and the Zo Train, whom would he choose?
Mustafa Ali got some big chants for him from his hometown Chicago crowd. Daivari took advantage with a spinebuster on Ali but it only got a two count.
Alexander got a blind tag and started cleaning house against Drew Gulak. Daivari kicked Alexander as he shot off the ropes and Gulak knocked him to the floor. The heels picked Alexander apart for a bit and just when it looked like he had an opening, Drew Gulak hit a flatliner.
Mustafa Ali got the hot tag and hit an insane corkscrew dive onto Daivari. He followed it up with a rolling facebuster but Gulak broke up the pinning attempt.
There was some confusion from the heels near the end of the match which resulted in some miscommunication. Cedric hit a Lumbar Check on Gulak and Mustafa Ali hit the 0-5-4 on Daivari for the win.
