Drake Maverick met with Mustafa Ali backstage to address his rematch with Hideo Itami. Maverick said that while Ali's tune-up match last week was good, he was still afraid for Ali. However, next week he would get his opportunity, and face Hideo Itami.

Drew Gulak, accompanied by Brian Kendrick and Jack Gallagher, came out first. Gulak has been in Cedric Alexander's head for weeks now, and one mistake is all it would take for the Submission Specialist to lock in the Gu-Lock.
As the crowd chanted for Cedric, Gulak looked to catch Alexander slipping. Brian Kendrick distracted the champion, allowing Gulak to almost lock in the Gu-Lock.
Gulak and Alexander attempted to outmaneuver each other, but they seemed to be at a stalemate in the beginning. Alexander knocked Gulak down with a shoulder block, following up with a headlock. Gulak shot him off into the ropes, only to be knocked down again, and forced into another headlock.
Gulak fought out and chased Alexander into the corner, who leaped over the challenger, catching him with a snapmare followed by yet another headlock. Gulak shot him off one more time, only for Kendrick to catch Alexander's feet, causing him to land on his face. The ref saw it this time, however. Instead of disqualifying Gulak, he sent Kendrick and Gallagher to the back.
Alexander caught Gulak with a head scissors, followed by a handful of strikes. Alexander then snapmared Gulak and landed a kick to the back. Gulak kicked out at one.
Alexander attempted to change his game this match, going for more submissions and body manipulation to counter Gulak's submission prowess. Alexander worked over the arm of Gulak, weakening the Gu-Lock in the process.
Gulak chased Alexander into the corner yet again, only to be met with a rough right hook from the champion. An attempted springboard flatliner was caught by Gulak, who dumped Alexander on his head with an Exploder Suplex.
Gulak worked over Alexander's neck and left shoulder with armbreakers and stomps to Cedric's shoulder.
Cedric attempted to fight back but was cut off by Alexander, placing him in the middle of the ring with a side headlock.
Alexander fought out, attempting a suplex. The two men were near the ropes, causing them to tumble out, but Alexander caught Gulak and planted him with a suplex to the outside!
Champion and challenger traded strikes, with Alexander getting the upper hand, lighting Gulak up with running forearms, followed by a kick to the face in the corner.
A springboard clothesline from Alexander almost put Gulak away, with the Submission Specialist barely kicking out at two.
Alexander took Gulak up for the Lumbar Check, but Gulak countered into a roll-up. Alexander broke out, then caught Gulak with a deadly Neuralizer.
Gulak went outside but was hit by a dive from Alexander. As the Champion rolled Gulak back in, he was caught in a Gu-Lock, barely making it to the ropes.
The Gu-Lock took a lot out of Alexander, as Drew Gulak took over from here, taking him out with a vicious clothesline. Gulak planted Alexander in the middle of the mat with two body slams, but Alexander broke out of a third, only to be turned inside out with a devastating lariat from Gulak! Alexander barely had the energy to kick out.
Alexander went to the apron, but Gulak followed, attempting the Gu-Lock in the ropes. Alexander fought out and went for a roll-up. Gulak countered and went for a powerbomb, only for Alexander to escape and spike Gulak with a perfect Michinoku Driver!
Alexander forced Gulak into the corner with chops, but Gulak caught the champion with a stiff right, followed by something unexpected.
The anti-air cruiserweight hit Alexander with a top rope clothesline, almost getting the win yet again.
Gulak locked in the Gu-lock in the middle of the ring, body scissors and all. Alexander somehow broke out, but Gulak pulled him back in, locking him in one more time.
Alexander rolled through and drove Gulak head first into the turnbuckle with a fireman's carry.
Alexander and Gulak ran at each other, landing dual boots to the face. Gulak came back, grabbing Alexander by the beard and beating him down with heavy chops. Alexander fought out of his grasp, finally hitting the Lumbar Check for the win!
Results: Cedric Alexander defeated Drew Gulak via pinfall.
As Alexander began to celebrate, Buddy Murphy was shown backstage, looking on as he looked to his upcoming title bout at WWE Super Show-Down.

Buddy Murphy was interviewed backstage, congratulating the champion. However, what will be more impressive than a winning streak is when he ends the Age of Alexander. Murphy then said that fans tune into 205 Live to see him, and he will become the Cruiserweight Champion in Australia.
