Cedric Alexander came down to the ring, not smiling like he would normally. The Soul of 205 Live seemed to be focussed on getting Gulak off his back tonight.
Cedric kept his mic time short, calling Drew Gulak out immediately. However, The CruiserGreat decided to interrupt the champ, as TJP made his way out to the stage.
TJP said he wasn't surprised that Gulak wasn't around since he's more of an opportunist. However, he's impatient and wants to take out Alexander tonight for an opportunity at the Cruiserweight Championship.
Although Alexander accepted the challenge, Drake Maverick's music hit, as Maverick reminded the two men that only he makes matches around here.
Maverick, though, ever the showman, only came out to make the match official.
Cedric Alexander vs TJP
TJP attempted to lock down the champ with an armbar, but Alexander got out of it, knocking the CruiserGreat down with a shoulder block. TJP hit a kip up, jumping right back to his feet, only for Alexander to sweep his legs out from under him before connecting with a beautiful Neuralizer. TJP rolled to the outside to escape punishment, but Alexander chased him, connecting with a pinpoint Suicide Dive.
Alexander brought TJP to the apron, but the CWC winner escaped, planting the champ with a DDT to the apron.
TJP tossed Alexander inside, then leaped over the ropes into an octopus stretch. Alexander quickly escaped, turning the maneuver into a leglock. TJP broke out, only take a dropkick to the mouth, rolling back outside.
Alexander rolled TJP inside again, and TJP rolled to the other side of the ring, goading the champ into the ropes, where he kicked Alexander in the head and locked him in an abdominal stretch inside the ropes.
TJP broke it, then forced Alexander's shoulder into the turnbuckle. He then focused on Alexander's shoulder, stretching it out with an armbar. Alexander fought out, only to be kicked in the shoulder. However, Alexander caught a running TJP, forcing him face first into the second turnbuckle.
Alexander then clocked TJp in the head with a vicious kick from the apron, followed by a springboard Flatliner, getting a two count.
TJP finally got back on top, attacking Alexander's arm yet again, terrorizing him with an arm breaker (Pentagon Style). Alexander fought out of an armbar, but a springboard crossbody from TJP knocked him back to the mat. The Soul of 205 made it to the corner, fighting off TJP before landing a springboard clothesline.
Alexander stood up in the corner, attempting to stuff TJP with a boot. TJP caught it, but Alexander shook him off, catching him with a vicious big boot. Alexander then hit the CruiserGreat with a vicious suplex into a gutbuster, a sort of reverse Lumbar Check. TJP broke out, then turned a Lumbar Check attempt into an armbar.
Alexander fought off the armbar, turning it into a Michinoku Driver. A dazed TJP somehow avoided another springboard clothesline, attempting the Fujiwara Armbar. Alexander rolled, allowing for TJP to lock in his patented Kneebar, almost forcing the champion to tap.
Alexander barely made it to the ropes, but with only one arm and one leg, Alexander had a hill to climb.
TJP and Alexander countered in and out of submissions before TJP almost struck Alexander with the Detonation Kick. Alexander escaped, though, and finished the match with a nasty Lumbar Check.
Results: Cedric Alexander defeated TJP via pinfall.
Before Alexander could rest, Drew Gulak came out and accepted Alexander's challenge. However, it was a trap, as Jack Gallagher attacked him from behind.
Though Alexander fought him off, the Submission Specialist turned him inside out with a clothesline. Afterward, a Gu-Lock left Alexander unconscious in the middle of the ring.
Gulak and Gallagher left with their heads held high as Alexander attempted to regain consciousness.
