It dosen't seem like WWE has many places to go with Drew McIntyre as champion.

It seems to some like WWE has nowhere left to go with Drew McIntyre as their champion, which might not be the case with The Miz. That might sound a little pessimistic, especially after what McIntyre has managed to accomplish during his time as champion, but is keeping the belt around his waist leading into WrestleMania a wise decision?

With so many challengers ticked off their list, WWE might struggle to find a suitable challenger for McIntyre heading into WrestleMania, outside of a potential rematch with Brock Lesnar, should he make a return in time.

In the end, having The Miz cash in sounds like a much better option for WWE, and gives the company a fresh slate of options. What the company does with that fresh slate of options is up to them. But The Miz could be ready and waiting to take the title, leading to plenty of new and exciting challengers.
