5 best feuds for a returning Daniel Bryan

The clutches of injury took Daniel Bryan by surprise when he was having a reign as the top baby face in the company. The hard hitting style which he followed for a long time was taking a toll on his body and Bryan had to undergo a series of surgeries to get his body back on the road to recovery. And as usual the injury situation provides the door for a big return to the WWE roster for the flying goat and his yes movement. The way he went out of the scenario ensures a welcoming party from the WWE Universe and the Creative team should make sure that they don’t mess up the situation. So here is a look at those best opponents that Bryan could feud with once he returns to the main roster.

#5 Seth Rollins

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

In the absence of Bryan, Rollins has managed to outgrow the Authority as the top heel in the company. Bryan being out of action left the Authority without a direct enemy while Rollins had a spectacular one in the form of Dean Ambrose.

The fans found it easy to hate Rollins as he was responsible for the Shield breaking up and coupled with the brilliance that Ambrose put in, no one could stop Rollins from rising.

However, the feud with Ambrose is only the first step for Mr. Money in the bank. He is destined for bigger things in the future and a returning Bryan would be a good opponent for him after the lunatic fringe.

These two have had a lot of bouts back in Ring of Honor and replicating something similar would make the WWE fans go wild for sure.

#4 Kane

The Kane-Bryan feud was a story left incomplete by the WWE. Bryan being out of action took the sting out of the feud between the two which gave the fans some memorable moments throughout its course.

This is the easiest feud that the company can book for their returning superstar as it would make a lot of sense. Kane has been in a lot of dilemma after Bryan’s departure as he slowly was pushed into the background.

He was nothing more than a high profile jobber till now and has built up a reputation for destroying matches with his interference. A feud with the flying goat would breathe back some life into Kane’s dying career and Bryan would get his revenge also before going into the title picture.

#3 John Cena

Despite being able to pull off a long feud, Cena and Bryan have had only one major pay-per-view match which came at SummerSlam a couple of years ago. WWE intelligently managed to keep the two poles apart for a majority of the time but should bank on the storyline once Bryan makes his return.

The biggest advantage that WWE have at this moment is the feud going on between Brie Bella and Nikki Bella. With Bryan and Cena directly linked with the Bellas, the creative team would have no trouble sparking some friction between the two.

The total divas could be put into some meaningful use as well with this feud rather than just being a stage for blabbering divas.

#2 Brock Lesnar

Lesnar has something that belongs to Bryan, the WWE Championship and if Bryan goes right after the title following his return, it would give the fans a mouthwatering feud.

The champion has been tearing apart all the competition that is crossing his path and would be left without credible opponents when Bryan makes his return. Bryan on the other hand would be a wounded warrior who would be coming back from a long lay-off.

It’s the perfect story setting for the duo to have a multi-pay-per-view feud that would draw crowds all across the world.

The match would be more compelling than what we saw with John Cena as the fans would get so to see something similar to what we saw when Eddie Guerrero stepped into the ring with Lesnar.

#1 Dean Ambrose

As Bryan went out of the WWE programming as a babyface, the entire WWE Universe would be expecting him to return the same.

However, what if Bryan returns as a heel and aligns with the Authority?. It might sound a bit ridiculous but the heel turns of Hulk Hogan and Bret Hart sounded the same before they actually pulled it off.

If its a controversial headline that the WWE wants to make, Bryan’s heel turn would be apt. And now that there is Ambrose to fill in the spot as the top baby face of the company, Bryan would have an opponent who is good both inside the ring and with the microphone.

This would stamp Ambrose’s place as the real anti-hero while Bryan’s betrayal would give the WWE a new villain as they are lacking in that section.
