WWE has gone into the origin story of the Firefly Funhouse several times, but never really filled in the blanks until the November 2nd episode of RAW. That's when Wyatt finally came clean and revealed that Randy Orton was responsible for the Firefly Funhouse and The Fiend character.
Although WWE themed the episode as a tribute to the RKO finisher, it soon became clear that Alexa Bliss and Bray Wyatt just wanted Randy Orton's attention. In fact, Wyatt kept flashing back to Orton destroying the Wyatt compound 3 years ago, which left him unable to contain his rage at his former friend.
This was all capped off by Abby the Witch repeatedly cursing out anyone that brought up Randy Orton's name, and even got told to put money in the swear jar. The segment ended with Wyatt claiming that The Fiend never forgets and Alexa Bliss revealing a new trick that forced Wyatt to put money in the swear jar as well.
