This isn’t about Marty Jannetty but rather about superstars and divas who we don’t really remember being part of a faction or a stable. It happens, sometimes, that a performer briefly, in a blink of an eye, joins a stable but that either doesn’t last long or isn’t really memorable. Usually, the latter gives way to the former.
And sometimes the stable entirely isn’t good enough. You will be surprised that some of the factions include here are and were pretty much very well known and legendary. Some of the forgotten members are in themselves legendary.
Here are the 5 forgotten faction members in WWE history-
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
Shawn Michaels and NWO
This may certainly be the most remarkable inclusion in this list given how unremarkable Michaels membership with the NWO was. NWO fizzled out the moment they made their way into the WWE.
The jarring fact is that HBK had retired 4 years ago due to an injured back. This is how he returned to the wrestling fold- as a member of one of the most legendary faction in wrestling history.
But Michaels never competed in a match as an NWO member. Never. He soon got into a storyline with Triple H, which was the best thing happening at the time.
Hornswoggle and DX
Speaking of legendary groups, D-Generation X is a shoot- in. Afterall, Sting Vs Triple H at Wrestlemania 31 will be memorable because of NWO and DX coming face to face.
DX has been an indelible part of the WWE and all its members since its inception haven’t had as better a career as they had when they were part of this group.
The same can’t be said about Hornswoggle. He was the official mascot of DX and the build up to this membership took up many episodes but all it amounted to was a forgotten memory.
Sable and The Oddities
The Oddities may themselves be a forgotten faction. It had Luna Vachon featured in another way were her talents as a wrestler were underutilized. The best way to compare the group may be to compare them with the Adam Rose’s rosebuds. But Vince McMahon had an idea to make them more relevant. He made Sable a part of their stable. This may not be very memorable now because this was all very brief.
But Sable’s presence led the Oddities become faces. Her presence was strong enough to give them more attention and popularity.
It did not last long. Sable was soon gone to fight for the Women’s Championship.
Sid Vicious in...
The Four Horsemen. Like any stable from the old, new faction members were expected and of course, there were variations from the original group.
But the inclusion of Sid Vicious remains the most brief and least memorable when it comes to an illustrious group such as The Four Horsemen. Vicious joined the horsemen at a time when both him and Flair were thinking about making their transition to the WWE.
It happened and Vicious now stands as a forgotten member.
The Corporation and the Mean Street Posse
The Corporation is a memorable storyline angle and alliance straight from the Attitude Era. It had Shane McMahon, Vince McMahon, The Undertaker, Triple H and the likes.
They were building up to a huge alliance taking many superstars and stables together.
One of the stables was the Mean Street Posse, and they tried to look mean standing next to the likes of all the badassery around them but they still couldn’t fit in, forget standing out.
