5 things Brock Lesnar is yet to achieve in the WWE

Beast vs Swiss Superman

In the world of professional wrestling, very few athletes get to stamp their authority, and thereby shake the industry to its foundation. When we look back at some of the greatest pure athletes in professional wrestling in the past few decades, perhaps there is none more impressive than Brock Lesnar. Lesnar was always known to be a “freak”; after winning the NCAA Division I heavyweight championship, Lesnar set his sights on professional wrestling, and within a short period, he was on the biggest stage, competing against some of the biggest legends the industry has ever produced. After his return to the WWE back in 2012, Lesnar has been on an impressive run to say the least. While Lesnar did the unthinkable by beating The Undertaker at WrestleMania 30, he has since laid waste to the likes of John Cena and Roman Reigns. Lesnar’s run as the WWE World Heavyweight champion was incredible, as he thwarted challenges from various superstars, and has arguably achieved what most can only dream of in the world of professional wrestling. However, Lesnar still hasn’t quite achieved everything in the WWE. In this article, we take a look at five things Lesnar is yet to achieve in the organization.

#5 Face Cesaro to find the true strongman in the WWE

Beast vs Swiss Superman

Cesaro managed to gain relevance once again in the WWE after being thrown into oblivion, by teaming up with Tyson Kidd. The duo also managed to win the WWE Tag Team championships, but with Tyson Kidd being sidelined with a serious neck injury, which could see him sit on the sidelines for more than a year, it is the perfect time to push Cesaro once again, and there could be no better opponent for Cesaro to reinvent himself than Brock Lesnar.

WWE can play off of Paul Heyman’s association with both the superstars, as the clash between two of the strongest pure athletes in professional wrestling today would leave the WWE Universe salivating for more, and it can prove to be the best assessment of strength of both the superstars, and to find who the real strongman is in the WWE.

#4 Break the record for the most Royal Rumble match wins

One record to be conquere

Brock Lesnar won the Royal Rumble match back in 2003, and has since never competed any of the subsequent Royal Rumble matches. With Lesnar conquering almost every other record in the company’s history, one would wonder if Lesnar has what it takes to do what “Stone Cold” Steve Austin had achieved more than a decade ago – win the Royal Rumble match on three different occasions.

If Brock Lesnar manages to win the Royal Rumble match twice in the next few years, he will have the distinction of being the only superstar to break Austin’s record, as well as The Rock’s record of being the youngest WWE champion in the organization’s history, thus outclassing two of the greatest superstars in professional wrestling history!

#3 Beat Roman Reigns in a one on one match

Couldn’t pin him despite beating up Reigns

With all the talk surrounding Roman Reigns’ push this year, everyone expected Roman to defeat Lesnar in the main event of WrestleMania. It was also heavily publicized in the months leading up to the mega event that Lesnar’s contract would expire the week after WrestleMania, which added fuel to the fire about Reigns walking out with the WWE World Heavyweight championship.

But with Lesnar going public about signing a new contract just days prior to the event, the outcome of their encounter was unpredictable, and after a grueling back and forth action, Seth Rollins cashed in his briefcase and walked out of WrestleMania as the new WWE World Heavyweight champion.

Before the PPV, it was also heavily promoted that Roman Reigns would be Brock’s toughest competition, and even during their match, WWE made Roman Reigns look much tougher than any of Lesnar’s previous opponents.

With Lesnar not pinning Roman Reigns at WrestleMania, it still remains to be seen if Lesnar can pin Roman Reigns in a one on one match – something that the WWE management can always look at in the future.

#2 Face and beat Daniel Bryan

Dream match

One of the most anticipated matches since Lesnar’s return to the WWE has been a potential showdown between “The Beast Incarnate” and the biggest underdog in professional wrestling, Daniel Bryan. Earlier this year, the fans were clamoring for a match between the two phenomenal athletes, with Bryan being the perfect replacement for Kurt Angle, to replicate the main event of WrestleMania XIX between Lesnar and Angle.

However, WWE chose to go ahead with Roman Reigns in the main event, and the fans were robbed of an amazing, hard hitting match between the most physical superstar and the most technically gifted grappler in the organization’s history. However, with Bryan’s future in doubt, one can only hope that the bearded superstar would return to the WWE soon and take on the behemoth, in what would be a mouth watering clash between two of the biggest names in professional wrestling today.

#1 Become a Triple Crown champion

The Beast Incarnate as champion

Brock Lesnar has been on a rampage from the very beginning of his career in the WWE. As Paul Heyman’s client/henchman, Lesnar caused havoc by beating up legends and superstars, and in the process, won the King of the Ring tournament, the Royal Rumble match and the WWE championship within his first year on the main roster!

Lesnar has since won the WWE World Heavyweight championship on three different occasions, but the one aspect that would separate Lesnar from the Flairs, Harts and Michaels’ is the fact that Brock isn’t a triple crown champion.

A triple crown champion must have won the world title, along with a second tier title (such as the WWE United States championship or the WWE Intercontinental championship), along with the tag team titles.

Since Lesnar has never won a second tier title or the tag team titles, and with the fact that John Cena is the current United States champion, it is plausible that Lesnar would go for the United States championship by the end of the year, and renew his feud with the 15 time world champion.
