In the world of proffesional wrestling, unless you are not a top star you aren’t getting paid very well and that is an unfortunate truth.
Some wrestlers keep most of the money they earn in savings for their future as an investment, just in case something goes wrong. Others will just not spend the money for the sake of being tight while some won’t spend it because they want to make significant savings.
But here are the 5 wrestlers that are just too cheap to spend their money.
#5 Bray Wyatt
Bray Wyatt has been known to be just like his TV personality outside the ring as well as in it.
He is known to be a cool, calm and laid back individual who doesn't care a whole lot for materialistic goods, like the rest of the world does.
He spends what he has to and saves what he has remaining which puts him number 5 on this list
#4 Matt Saxton
Ok, so he may not be a WWE superstar, but Matt Saxton is an up and coming professional wrestler and has his own TV show on TLC, called Extreme Cheapskates.
There is being cheap and there is being cheap!
Matt has done some entertaining things on the show but a couple of the most cheap and entertaining things he has done include, waxing himself with what only can be described as duck tape and creating make shift barbell’s out of objects he finds lying around.
It may be cheap but this may inspire some people who can't afford proper equipment to be a professional wrestler, to get out there and make something of themselves with limited resources.
#3 Brie Bella
Brie Bella is the now wife of Daniel Bryan and is well known from the WWE ring and from the hit E! Series show Total Divas.
On the show, she can be seen spending money which is obvious, but in reality, Brie is longing for a child and has been secretly saving and not living exactly the lifestyle she once had. This would be quite the opposite of her twin sister Nikki.
Brie lives with Daniel and there is high speculation that she will announce her retirement soon which will inevitably lead to her becoming a mother in the near future.
Between Daniel controlling her spending and them wanting a baby, let alone the fact the couple don’t spend a whole lot on materialistic goods, it’s not hard to see why she makes the list.
#2 Vince McMahon
Yes Ok I get it Vinnie Mac isn’t a wrestler, but he has wrestled.
And we couldn’t leave him off the list. In the past few years, Vince has been seen saving money from every angle possible. He’s fired talent from every angle, brought in an extra hour of Raw (which very few like) to create more revenue, and made his stage designs extremely boring.
Let’s focus on the stage designs. Think back to the PPV’s of old. Backlash, Armageddon, Unforgiven. Do you remember how cool it was to see a different design for a PPV every year? Not only were the PPV designs cool, we had the Smackdown fist. (probably the best design they ever created)
What do we get now?
The same boring stage design for almost everything except Wrestlemania. (I will admit the Wrestlemania stages as of late have been outstanding though.)
WWE can do better than this and have got to stop being such cheapskates for everything they do, at least when it comes to stage designs.
#1 Daniel Bryan
How could it not be?
Daniel Bryan is one of the most beloved stars to ever grace the industry, but let’s not forget, he is a cheapskate,
It’s not a bad thing. He likes to keep his money and mind it.( A trait I presume a lot of us wish we had). It is obvious he is trying for a baby and will want to provide for it even though his in ring career is done. He saved his money throughout his life and now has a good basis to bring up his child.
I’m sure he will continue to make money in WWE no matter what way he does it, but what we have come to know is that Daniel Bryan is a man that dosen’t care too much for personal possessions. He enjoys growing his own food and collecting his own fuel.
Some people see this as a negative trait in a person, but some people envy what he has. It all depends on personal perspective.
But for the sake of this list, it earns him the top spot!
