Matt Hardy – A Victim of the WWE
Similar to the previous, Matt Hardy was also one of the small number of WWE talents that voice their displeasure while in TNA. Speaking with AJ Styles, Matt told him that his career had been filled with negatives that he wouldn’t wish on his worst enemy.
When you look at his career in WWE, you can see why he would feel that way, as there is a feeling among fans that Matt is the “Jannetty” of the Hardys which to some extent is due to the more opportunities that Jeff was afforded while working for WWE.
Kaval – Mentioning TNA on WWE TV
We’ve looked at two instances where former WWE superstars have gone on TNA television and spoke their mind about how they were treated in WWE. How about when a former TNA star goes on WWE television and makes a reference with an “Impact”?
In this instance, Kaval never made any comments that directly disrespected WWE. What he did instead was mention “Total Nonstop Action” during an episode of NXT. This reference was immediately criticized by the commentary team, as they began to brand Kaval’s actions as “stupid”.
Given that WWE very rarely makes references to rival companies without consequences (excluding John Cena’s reference), it’s understandable how quickly Michael Cole & co. responded to Kaval’s comments.
