CM Punk - Pipebomb
There are a lot of people out there that, if they had to write this article, would give 10 examples of CM Punk being disrespectful to the WWE. The dysfunctional relationship between CM Punk and WWE is a very strange one. You could argue that The Second City Saint had been disrespecting WWE ever since he decided to sit down on a ramp in Las Vegas and deliver what is now famously referred to as a “Pipebomb”.
Claiming that WWE would be better off once Vince McMahon is dead was definitely stepping the line and to add further insult, he then said the company would be taken over by his “idiot” daughter and “doofus” son-in-law.
In hindsight, it was incredibly unfair for Punk to suggest the company would be left in the wrong hands as in that time, Triple H has done a phenomenal job with NXT and a significantly large portion of the WWE Universe are eager to see Paul Levesque take over the main roster.
Madusa – The Trash Can Incident
Alundra Blayze made her name in WWE (Then WWF) as one of the elite wrestlers in the women’s division and caused lot of controversy when she showed up on WCW’s Monday Nitro under the name Madusa.
The reason this was such a shocking event was the fact that she was the then holder of the WWE Women’s Championship and made an appearance on WCW television with the rival belt. To cause a further stir, she dropped the Championship into a trash can while stating that’s what she thinks of Woman’s Championship of Vince McMahon’s company.
It is one thing to comment negatively on the wrestling company, but to take one of their very prestigious titles and throw it away like that is one of the worst forms of disrespect that there is. This stands as an example of the underhand tactics that were used in order to win the “Monday Night War”.
Much like a lot of past workers that have had a falling out with WWE, Alundra Blayze found herself inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame some years later at the 2015 ceremony.
