Kane vs Bray Wyatt (With Luke and Erick)
What can I say about this match that hasn’t already been said? I love the Bray Wyatt gimmick; it’s something unique and fresh that hasn’t happened in a long time in the WWE. Although WWE cannot push the envelope because of the PG rating, they don’t have to, since the character is something that can be worked and tweaked around either way.
Wyatt’s gimmick is along the lines of a cult leader who’s a psychopath, and destroys anyone who doesn’t join his pack. Kane will be taking time off after this bout to film the sequel of “See No Evil”, and hence, this is an easy one to predict.
Winner: Bray Wyatt
Dolph Ziggler and Kaitlyn vs AJ Lee and Big E Langston
This match might finally settle the Ziggler-AJ/Big E and Kaitlyn-AJ feud once and for all (Or we’d hope so). Ziggler needs to be in the main event scene, and the AJ-Kaitlyn feud has to stop.
I expect Ziggler and Kaitlyn to finally get back at AJ and Big E Langston, and then move on to other feuds.
Winner (s): Ziggler and Kaitlyn
Alberto Del Rio vs Christian for the World Heavyweight championship
Am I the only one who is looking forward to this match more than anything else? Maybe, but I am one of the biggest “peeps”, and Christian is one of my all-time favourites. One shouldn’t forget ADR attacking Ricardo on RAW couple of weeks ago.
Can we see Ricardo making an appearance at SummerSlam? That might very well happen. I’m going to go against logic and with my gut, and predict Christian to win the World Heavyweight championship “one more time”!
Winner and the new World Heavyweight champion: Christian
Brock Lesnar (With Paul Heyman) vs CM Punk
Arguably the biggest feud of the summer comes to ground zero this Sunday, when “The beast” Brock Lesnar takes on “The best in the world” CM Punk.
Their rivalry escalated quickly since the Money in the Bank PPV, with Lesnar taking offence to Punk’s words. Punk told Heyman five weeks ago that Lesnar needed Heyman but Punk didn’t.
With Brock and Punk going great guns, this will be a fantastic, brutal match which won’t be a wrestling clinic by any stretch of imagination. In the end, will Punk finally get his hands on Heyman? We’ll have to wait and see, but I personally would want their feud to continue a bit longer.
Winner: Brock Lesnar
John Cena vs Daniel Bryan for the WWE championship with Triple H as the special guest referee
The final match on the card is for the WWE championship. There have been very few individuals who’ve had as much momentum going into a PPV as Bryan, and instead of making it about Bryan’s “big moment”, they had to include Triple H in the match.
The last time a guy was so over (Hey Punk!), Triple H injected himself into the feud and completely derailed Punk’s momentum. Can this happen at SummerSlam? Let’s just hope it doesn’t.
Since Cena will be taking time off to undergo a surgery on his elbow, Daniel Bryan will beat Cena, but will lose to Orton when he cashes in his Money in the Bank briefcase (sadly).
Winner and the new WWE champion: Randy Orton
