Seth Rollins and The Miz have been feuding now since before Christmas when it was The Miz who was behind The Shield's first reunion in more than three years. The Miz and Rollins have been embroiled in a feud over the past few months centering around the Intercontinental Championship.
Rollins won the title back at WrestleMania in a triple threat match that also included Finn Balor and Miz was then moved over to the SmackDown brand two weeks later as part of the Superstar Shakeup. Over the past few weeks, the Championship picture has been dominated by Finn Balor and Samoa Joe but The Miz has cashed in his rematch clause this weekend at Backlash and will hope to take the Intercontinental Championship back to SmackDown Live.
#5 The Miz wins the Intercontinental Championship
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
The Miz has been in and around the Intercontinental Championship picture over the past few years, so much so that he now looks strange without the title around his waist. Given that the United States Championship match should be Randy Orton vs Jeff Hardy it's highly unlikely that Miz will be able to take the other mid-card Championship back over to SmackDown Live.
This is WWE and if there is a way for The Miz to win the title then it will be easily considered an option. The Miztourage could easily feature in this match since this pay-per-view is now brand exclusive, Miz looks like a Champion and it's easy to see him taking the title again this weekend to become a record-equalling nine-time Intercontinental Champion.
#4 Seth Rollins retains his Intercontinental Championship
Seth Rollins has already retained his Championship twice since he won it back at WrestleMania, in a ladder match at The Greatest Royal Rumble and again on Raw this past week when Finn Balor laid down the challenge.
Rollins has the ability to make this mid-card title much bigger on Raw than it was before especially since he's a former World Champion and has the popularity to allow the title to grow over the next few months. Rollins has defeated Miz a number of times over the past few months and if it came down to betting then Rollins will easily be able to deliver that curb stomp and retain his Championship.
#3 Daniel Bryan costs The Miz the Championship
Daniel Bryan is already on the card on Sunday night as he takes on Big Cass after weeks of the duo's back and forth vendetta, but it's easy to see him deciding to further his underlying issues with The Miz by costing him the Intercontinental Championship this weekend.
Bryan and Miz have a lot of history and the former World Champion even tweeted The Miz to tell him that he was prepared for him when he's moved over to SmackDown Live, it would be interesting to see if Bryan steps up and makes this feud even more personal by costing Miz the chance to equal history this weekend.
#2 Interference allows Rollins to retain via DQ
The Miztourage turned on The Miz when he left Monday Night Raw a few weeks ago and haven't been able to find their feet as part of the brand ever since. Given that The Miztourage will be at the show on Sunday alongside The Miz, it's highly likely that they will once again attempt to help their boss to help get their jobs backs.
The Miztourage are not the cleverest stars, which is why it's likely that if they do decide to interfere on behalf of The Miz then Rollins will retain via DQ.
#1 Finn Balor turns heel and interferes
Finn Balor and Seth Rollins have had a back and forth feud over the past few months that culminated in Rollins winning their match in the main event of this week's Raw. Rollins has been able to stop Balor at every chance and it would make sense if the frustrations from coming so close to winning the title on a number of occasions would allow him to finally turn heel.
The Club is no longer on Raw to back up their former teammate, but if Balor chose Sunday night as the time to interfere in order to send a message to Rollins, then the title would hang in the balance and Balor and Rollins could then continue their feud heading into Money in the Bank.
