- WWE Superstar Cesaro has been impressive in a wrestling ring for years now. However, lately he has stepped it up a notch, making it almost impossible to ignore him. He doesn’t come out and talk as much as the others, but what he does when he is in WWE ring is only rivaled by a handful in the entire world right now. He may have the potential to outperform everyone if given the time to do it.
As such, he has earned a lot of praise among WWE fans, but he has also been getting a lot of love behind the scenes, as well. It was thought that after his tag team partner, Tyson Kidd, went down with a serious injury, Cesaro would sort of go to mid-card hell and be used very little until Kidd could make his way back.
Cesaro stopped all of the doubters by putting on 4 to 5-star matches every week on WWE Raw and SmackDown, then went on WWE PPVs. Management took notice of this big time and used him in major rivalries to help get people over.

While Cesaro is still being used on television every week, he's currently being fed to Big Show to build him up for the world's largest athlete's match against Brock Lesnar at Madison Square Garden. Many people may scoff at the entire idea because Cesaro was forced to job The Big Show on WWE Raw this past week. And fans aren't the only ones frustrated about WWE's treatment of the Swiss Superman, Cesaro.
Early Friday morning, WWE Hall of Famer Mick Foley took to his Facebook page to vent about how the company has been handling the King of Swing. Foley wrote:
“TWO WORDS: PUSH CESARO
Last night, I was asked a simple question during the Q&A part of my show in Philadelphia: “if you were in charge of ?#WWE?, what one change would you make?” I gave a simple answer. PushCesaro. I’m not trying to create controversy or be a pain in WWE’s neck – but the recent treatment of this guy on TV is downright baffling to me. Besides, as long as I said it, and it will be reported on (which I’m pretty sure it will be) you might as well read it here first. I knowSteve Austin has been an enthusiastic Cesaro supporter. Maybe he needs a little bit of help. Maybe my opinion will mean something. Maybe yours will too. Tell me about your favoriteCesaro match. Give this post a like and a comment..maybe even share it – and we’ll see if a few thousand comments on the Foley Facebook page (which I KNOW the WWE front office reads) might make a difference.”
It looks like Foley being vocal about pushing Cesaro is already paying dividends, as one of the biggest names backstage who is sticking up for Cesaro is John Cena. Cena has reportedly praised Cesaro several times over the years, but lately he is going out of his way to do it. Cena has specifically requested to work with Cesaro quite often, which is why they have either tagged or fought at WWE Live Events or on WWE programming.
- Speaking of Cena, now that he is back at the helm, expect the United States Championship to once again sail toward elevated esteem. It's no knock on Seth Rollins that the title lost momentum in his grasp. That's a result of WWE's booking it to be a secondary prize for him, making it a subplot, not the central story. Rollins simply didn't do anything with the title.
Cena's star power bolsters the belt. His workhorse mentality as champion improves the title's prestige as well. The powerhouse winning the U.S. Championship will increase how much WWE pays attention to it and how much hungrier other Superstars will be to grab it for themselves. Now that WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins seems to be occupied with Kane once again, it looks like Cena may be bringing back the United States Title Open Challenges that he was doing before losing the title to Rollins at Summerslam.
