WWE Battleground: Chris Jericho's opponent announced for the PPV

Chris Jericho will face Bray Wyatt at Battleground

After the Tuesday tapings of Smackdown concluded, we now have learnt that Chris Jericho is all set to break the walls on Bray Wyatt as they will face each other at WWE’s Battleground pay-per-view.

The Eater of the Worlds interrupted Jericho with an entrance flash on Smackdown during his match with Randy Orton at the expense of Y2J’s victory. This was the second time since his return that Bray has continued to play his mind games on Jericho.

While it was rumoured that the match would be kept on hold for the SummerSlam pay-per-view, WWE has decided to push the date forward to July 20 which means that Jericho won’t be facing The Miz as expected earlier.

Reports suggest that Jericho already wanted this match with Bray even before he agreed to return to the WWE. It has been viewed as a feud that will serve to increase Bray’s reputation in the company.
